How do we iform the community '''We/z:''' Right here and now '''Jet:''' As someone who hosts parties here, I will keep it in mind. '''Derek:''' will find out where to get the cups and let Loren Know where to get em == 1: More or Better Trash Service == {{DiscussionItem| | topic = More or Better Trash Service | raised_by = Chris | seeking = decision/outcome/advice/[?] }} '''Chris:''' Theres alot of trash here. Wood shop generates alot of stuff, A dumpster is ideal but . A lot of construction materials cannot be composted (2x4s, etc). '''John:''' Is this stuff that could go in a standard container if it was bigger? '''Chris:''' Yes for the stuff that I am referencing directly. '''John:''' If we're talking old paint, it will be taken by the dump. '''Carl:''' Do you know if wood can go in the recycling? '''Chris:''' No. '''Derek:''' Plywood is landfill. '''We/z:''' dumpster would be good '''Heather:''' seconding that '''Chris:''' im not familier with recology, but various companys will have the cubic footage of the dumpster.....if you start with a small bin and start outgrowing it ,,,, or have them staggered https://www.recology.com/recology-american-canyon/commercial-and-multifamily-rates/ Based on recology website , our current plan is about $240 per month , A dumpster would be $100 more Newman & julius will find == 2: Update on the State of the Awning == {{DiscussionItem| | topic = Update on the State of the Awning | raised_by = Newman | seeking = decision/outcome/advice/[?] }} '''Newman:''' The frame is rusting/rotting. It would be a day+ of work to get it back up. It needs to be gotten back in shape == 4: Get Art Supplies == {{DiscussionItem| | topic = Get Art Supplies | raised_by = Heather | seeking = decision/outcome/advice/[?] }} This comes up semi-regularly during tours. '''Q:''' what kind of supplies? Acrylic? Oil? == 5: Music Room renovation & etiquette == {{DiscussionItem| | topic = Music Room renovation & etiquette | raised_by = Lucifer | seeking = decision/outcome/advice/[?] }} Flooring, Drum Kit, sound proofing, shelving for the room. if floor is done later, timing, for considering weather. Shelving has the music room already decided these things yes Do you need anything that you dont have? no Do you need help to do it? not yet, ill know more when i have the materials cost Music room etiquette - put things back. - be sensitive to people's needs. - Respect the space - specific shelving for each instrument - use the space for music. Whats going wrong right now? Specifically, im gonna a put sign up, id like to put a lock on the door, because people steal things from the music room all the time. '''WHeezy:''' thank you for taking initiative. It sucks to see the music room as the least excellent part of the space because it gets squated by people who *don't* want to us the space for music. We need to take initiative when we see someone in there not using the room for music purposes, that we check in on them. '''Heather:''' equipment damage, one of the violins, theyre currently stacked, uh, I saw someone put their bag and jacket ontop of the strings, this morning the bridge was snapped. '''Nixxy:''' In the wood shop we have a locked cabinet, could do the same for expensive instruments. '''Julius:''' We should exercise caution when locking things down in the space, it will limit people from being creative. There was a push to make the computers used for just what theyre intended for, it needs more attention, The problem of entropy endemic to nb, some percentage of people will clean up; it's frustrating, but part of membership in a leaderless cult. Protect the violins by hanging them on the wall, they'll be out of the way. There is Equipment has been leaking into the hall. Locked storage? Everyone gets a locked storage. The problem is misusing the room, be nice to it. Some people use the room as a private office. '''Zacchaeus:''' The music room does seem to be hit by this, I feel weird perscribing what people should do in each room. But the music room has been problemmatic enough to where maybe we should do something about that... A lot of people dont want to play music in a room when others are doing nothing to do with music in the room. This has been a problem since I've come to NB, they coccoon up there and make other people want to make music less. '''Jet:''' Talk more about this and shape the culture == 6: Common Standards about Grant applications == {{DiscussionItem| | topic = Common Standards about Grant applications | raised_by = Julius | seeking = decision/outcome/advice/[?] }} '''Julius:''' We arent making any changes here but I want to talk about people applying for grants (Under the name of NB). We should not end up in a situation where we dont know who applied for a grant. Grants is a complicated area of business; there have been attempts at working groups. There are formal aspects to grant applications. Granters will not just sign over a blank checks. (derek: What are the current state of grants?) If there is fraud involved, communicate with authorities sooner than later. The 501c3 status can be jeopardized by grant obligations. more formally and publically apply to grants. = Do-ocratic Task Board = Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from [https://github.com/noisebridge/buildout-capp Github], from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing! = End of Meeting = [[Category:Meeting Notes]]
