Every first Friday of the moth we are having a evening dedicated to building stuff have you always wanted to learn how to work with the CNC machine Do you have a project or an item you would like to lasercut a box for? would you like to design a widget and print in on the 3d Printer? just drop on by! if we have time we will be organsing the heavy corner :)

Last year was a strange year, and we’re looking forward to a nice and creative 2023 together. To celebare the new year we’ll be making some pasta with tomato sauce, both of the vegetarian and the non-vegetarian kind. as per hackerspace tradition there is a minimum price of 5 euro , but feel free to contribute what you can there shoud be plenty to go around, but mentioning you will join will help us in determining how much too make.

Goals Desoldering/reading of flash chips (eMMC, TSOP, …) Find JTAG pins on devices with JTAGenum We would like to play around with desoldering and dumping memory chips. Bring a target device and we will teach other how to remove TSOP chips, reball BGA chips and dumps NAND/NOR/eMMC memories. We will bring an IR rework station and all the TSOP/BGA breakout boards we have around. We will also try JTAGenum to find hidden JTAG pins on devices.

Currently planned for today [09:00] FreeCAD coding at HSBXL Byteweek (All day) Invite your FOSS group over! Hackerspace Brussels is opening up for the FOSS community to hack on their projects in the advent of FOSDEM. There’s heating, food, WiFi and also our tool corner to get creative. There’s a setup to give presentations, do workshops or even stream to your community if you feel inclined to do so. Reach out at contact@hsbxl.
