Debbie Dawson is a Cork-based visual artist and educator. She has exhibited extensively both locally and nationally, and her work is held in a variety of private and public collections. She is a full-time lecturer in MTU Crawford College of Art & Design and she was previous Chairperson of the Glass Society of Ireland.

We had a blast on Culture Night with a packed schedule of Sample events! We welcomed over 200 people on the night across our events so big thanks to all members who came out to see us, and a special thanks our members Viktoria Kondratieva, Maitiù Mac Cárthaigh, Barbara Diener, and Immanuel Sola for organising such rich, engaging, and entertaining events.

Congratulations to Grace Haynes and Amna Walayat who received their awards at the Opening Reception of Sample-Studios Annual Members Summer Exhibition in The Market Gallery, Douglas, on 5 September! Grace scooped the Visitor’s Choice award by public vote throughout the exhibition’s run in The Lord Mayor’s Pavilion for her work Sea and Shore. Amna’s piece entitled Lost Paradise 1 was selected for the Jury Prize.
