How to Participate If you think Chatt*lab's mission is worth supporting, please consider one or more of the following alternatives as a way you can contribute to our cause. Become a Member [Select here for more info]We are always looking for makers that are eager to learn, teach, make, inspire and improve our space. This has two costs - membership dues (cheaper than a round of golf per month!) and some of your time. We want members that help participate in our space.

About Chatt*Lab ---------- Chatt*Lab is Chattanooga's first and only “hackerspace” style makerspace. We're a collection of makers, tinkerers, artists, technicians and dreamers that like to share a space with access to many different tools and systems that help us build some really cool crap. If it's a tool we can't afford, we may borrow one from a Member, or in some cases, just build our own.

ChattLab Member Onboarding Starting in 2017, new members should go through an onboarding process that ensures they have the tools and access they need to be a good Chattlab member, understand the culture as well as our general policies. Checklist

Materials Steel Steel is stored in the loading bay. Store on racks when possible. Material code rules apply. Wood Wood is stored in the woodshop, with long stuff on the racks, and sheet goods in the sheet storage area that is near the dust collector. Material code rules apply.

Member's Manual The purpose of this manual is to help explain operation of our space as well as many of its features. If there's something that you are unsure of and can't find it in this manual, please let us know. We might even ask you to add it to the manual once you find out what you needed.
