OpenBrunch im Herbst
Am heutigen 1. September ist meteorologischer Herbstanfang. Der Monatsanfang bedeutet aber auch das am kommenden Sonntag, 6. September wieder unser OpenBrunch ansteht. Garantiert ohne Kürbisgewürz, Spekulatius oder gar Adventskalender. Wir treffen uns natürlich wieder in der Hochstraße 10. Los geht’s wie immer gegen 10:30-11:00 Uhr . Der OpenBrunch lebt davon, dass alle etwas beisteuern – so entsteht eine bunte Auswahl, und wir starten gut gestärkt in den Tag. Damit es auf dem Frühstückstisch schön abwechslungsreich wird, tragt euch bitte vorab im Planungs-Pad ein. Link zum Planungs-Pad Bevor ihr loszieht, schaut am besten kurz nach dem Space-Status oder fragt im Chat nach, ob geöffnet ist. So vermeidet ihr vor geschlossenen Türen zu stehen weil irgendwas dazuwischen gekommen ist. Infos zur Anfahrt findet ihr unter Zu uns kommen .
Eingeschränkte Zufahrt am 2.9. und 4.9.
Am kommenden Mittwoch, den 02.09. sowie Freitag, den 04.09. ist die Zufahrt über die Straße Am Hawerkamp aufgrunde der Open Air Konzerte gesperrt. Der Zugang zum Hawerkamp Gelände ist an diesen Tagen über die Lippstädter Straße möglich. Kommt besser mit dem Rad oder ÖPNV, da es an diesen Tagen durch die Konzerte vermutlich sehr voll werden wird.

Open Call: Atelier Penlan Residency, Finistère, Brittany
Open Call: Atelier Penlan Residency, Finistère, Brittany Following the successful collaborations of Samplers Caroline Boyfield, Ida Mitrani and Rebecca Bradley, Sample-Studios have partnered with Atelier Penlan in the Finistère region of Brittany to offer a new international residency. Members are invited to apply for a 2-week artist residency to take place in May 2027 . There will be two residency slots available, as follows, which will be awarded to two members: Residency 1: Sunday 2 May – Friday 14 May Residency 2: Sunday 16 May – Friday 28 May The residency is designed for artists seeking to develop their artistic research and/or carry out a project in the Finistère region in Brittany and/or to develop their professional networks in France. The residency is ideally suited to artists working in painting, drawing and other paper-based processes. Printmakers should note that Atelier Penlan provides a small printing press onsite. Applicants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the facilities offered and assess whether their work is suited to the context and facilities before applying. Atelier Penlan is based in the rural environs of Saint-Pol-de-Léon, 4km from the town. While not essential, applicants are encouraged to consider travelling from Ireland by car if that is an option for them via the Cork-Roscoff ferry to ensure full independence during the residency period. Overview of the Residency The residency at Atelier Penlan will include : Individual furnished 20 sq/m studio for 13 days Onsite accommodation in a double room, with generous shared living spaces and shared facilities for self catering Programming and event support, if desired, for one of the following: Open Studio / Artist Talk / etc. The costs associated with the residency at Atelier Penlan are covered by Sample-Studios. In addition, each successful applicant will receive a stipend of €400 to help cover travel subsistence and material costs. Eligibility This residency opportunity is available to current Studio-based and Associate Members of Sample-Studios. Creative Network members are ineligible. Successful applicants must be in a position to maintain their membership up to and during the residency in summer 2027. Members who have received residency opportunities from Sample-Studios in any other context in 2025, 2026 or 2027 are ineligible. "Specially Designated Global Terrorist" significa letteralmente: "decidiamo noi chi è terrorista" in barba alle liste ONU o EU o ITA (globale nel senso invece che ci impicciamo di un tutto il mondo mondiale). Pensiamo che "special" sia invece la deriva autoritaria USA e il loro supporto a criminali di guerra. Il collettivo A/I che da vent'anni e più offre email e blog contribuendo a mantenendo internet uno spazio di espressione libera è sotto attacco proprio dall'entità che si autodefinisce: "land of the free, home of the brave". Il processo non è nuovo, ma il giro di vite è rilevante. L'intento è quello che qualunque scritto su internet sia riconducibile a una persona. Eliminare ogni forma di anonimato. Avevano cominciato con le nymwars di Google. Vorsicht, frisch gestrichen! # Wir bauen für euch! Die Erlanger Gruppierung rund um den Chaos Computer Club, der Bits’n’Bugs, bekommt endlich wieder ein Zuhause. Und es wird größer denn je – auf über 46 Quadratmetern dürfen wir in Zukunft residieren, die wir im Zentrum für Austausch und Machen ab sofort anmieten.

*CALL FOR MAKERS - verlängert bis 22. September!* 2026 wird das Happylab 20 Jahre alt – und das wollen wir gemeinsam mit euch und euren Projekten feiern! 🎉 Bei unserer Makers’ Lab Night 2026 wird das Happylab wieder zur großen Bühne für die Maker-Community. Einen Abend lang könnt ihr an verschiedenen Stationen im Lab zeigen, woran ihr tüftelt, was ihr entwickelt, gestaltet, gebaut oder ausprobiert habt. Denn seit 20 Jahren lebt das Happylab von den Menschen, die hier ihre Ideen Wirklichkeit werden lassen. Von ersten Experimenten und spontanen Basteleien bis zu ausgefeilten technischen, künstlerischen oder unternehmerischen Projekten: Wir wollen zeigen, was 20 Jahre Making im Happylab möglich gemacht haben – und was gerade neu entsteht. Du hast ein Projekt, das du im Happylab umgesetzt hast? Dann werde Teil der Makers’ Lab Night!
