April und Mai stehen im Zeichen der Stammtische

Wir wollen einen Ort bieten, an dem Leute zusammenkommen und sich zu ihren Interessen austauschen können. Wenn du eine Idee für einen Stammtisch bzw. Meetup hast, oder mit deiner Gruppe einen Platz für Treffen suchst, komm gerne auf uns zu! Erster Meshcore Stammtisch Im April gibt’s eine Neuheit im Space: Einen dedizierten Meshcore Stammtisch! Du interessierst dich für alternative Kommunikation abseits von Internet und Mobilfunk? Dann komm zu unserem offenen Meshcore-Stammtisch! Wir treffen uns in gemütlicher Runde, um gemeinsam Ideen auszutauschen und herzuzeigen wie man an einem Netzwerk teilnehmen kann, dass auch ohne bestehende Infrastruktur funktioniert. Egal ob du einfach neugierig bist, dich vernetzen möchtest oder eigene Projekte im Kopf hast – bei uns bist du willkommen. Der Stammtisch richtet sich ausdrücklich an alle Interessierten Personen, Vorkenntnisse brauchst du keine – wir erklären alles und helfen dir beim Einstieg. Komm vorbei, lern nette Leute kennen und werde Teil eines Netzwerks, das verbindet – auch dann, wenn sonst nichts mehr geht. Homelab und Automation Nerds Stammtisch (H.A.N.S.) Unseren “H.A.N.S.” halten wir seit bald drei Jahren ab, doch am 20. Mai wird er erstmals (und vorerst auch einmalig) in der USTP, vormals FH St. Pölten, stattfinden. Jede:r ist herzlich willkommen vorbeizukommen, den Vorträgen zu lauschen und mitzudiskutieren. Jubileeum og driftsstøtte!

Bitraf har bursdag på Pi-Day (3.14 kl 15) og i år ble Bitraf 14 år! Som vanlig var det godt med kaker og snacks og oppmøtet var det heller ingenting å si på! Litt i forkant av bursdagen hadde vi fått beskjed om at Bitraf har mottatt Drifts-støtte fra Oslo Kommune, så dette var blant mange ting man pratet om på festen. De 300k vi har blitt tildelt for 2026 kommer til å bli brukt til å finansiere det nye kursrommet og aktiviteter her, samt å gjøre Daglig Leder mer tilgjengelig for skoler, kommunen og andre som jevnlig tar kontakt. Det blir mer om dette på årsmøtet som nylig ble annonsert på mail til alle betalende medlemmer og via Meetup.

Events Committee See More on the Wiki The Events Committee plans, sets up, and manages events both inside and outside the MakeICT building. Recurring activities include seasonal vendor markets, Ren Faire, Air Capital Comic Con, Tulsa Maker Faire & more. We meet at least once a month so checkout the calendar and come check it out. Key responsibilities include maintaining social media presence, managing the newsletter and website, creating marketing materials (signs, flyers, brochures), organizing press releases, and keeping the wiki up to date. Inventory & Procurement Committee See More on the Wiki The Inventory & Procurement Committee maintains MakeICT’s inventory to help members efficiently use the facility. Responsibilities include keeping inventory up to date by working with area leads, providing member guidance on the inventory system, and creating policies around equipment use and procurement. All members are welcome.

Facilities Committee See More on the Wiki The Facilities Committee provides leadership and oversight for the construction, revitalization, and maintenance of the MakeICT facility. Responsibilities cover a wide range of maintenance / repair work and coordination with the board for work that is outside the ability of the membership to complete safely and/or within necessary code requirements. All members are welcome to attend.

Membership Committee See More on the Wiki The Membership Committee develops and oversees policies and procedures related to membership recruitment and retention, working in conjunction with the board and other committees. Key responsibilities include growing the membership base, building an engaged member community, hosting Maker Mondays (every 2nd & 4th Monday, 7–8:30 PM) for tours and introductions, and running New Member Orientations for newly approved members. They meet monthly, generally on the third Monday of the month from 7–8 PM. All members are welcome to attend and join the roster.

Fundraising Committee See More on the Wiki The Fundraising Committee works to secure the financial resources needed to keep MakeICT running and growing. Their efforts span fundraising strategy, donor outreach, and grant research and submission. If you have a background in fundraising — or simply want to develop those skills — we’d love to see you at one of our monthly meetings, which can be found on our calendar .

Finance Committee

Finance Committee See More on the Wiki The Finance Committee assists the Treasurer in managing organizational funds and reviewing financial reports. Duties include monitoring bank activity, creating monthly financial reports, paying quarterly sales tax, managing purchase card activity, paying instructors, and providing the treasurer’s report at board meetings. Check the calendar for the next meeting and attend if you’re interested in helping out. Committee members beyond general attendees are appointed by the Board of Directors.
