Left to Right: Jason Curzake, Eric Telfort, Jonathan Buonaccorsi Izzard of Lunar Queer Art, Gabriel Richardson IN THE AS220 GALLERIES June 7-28th, 2025 opening | Saturday June 7,2025, 5-7pm AS220 MAIN GALLERY @115 Empire St. Retrospective | Chloë Bohórquez I have always believed that each of these disciplines, indeed all imaginative endeavors, are part of a continuum... that each form blends into and shares modalities with the others. At times, I have found ways to combine all these interests. At other times, I have focused on one or another individually. However, there is a through line in all my work, ideas that unite the various mediums I have explored: rhythm, harmony, balance, space and light. Whether I am making a drawing or painting, writing a piece of music, or designing a poster, these are the inspirations that guide the process. This exhibition features paintings, drawings, prints, and poster designs from three distinct periods of my career to date. Works on Paper | Curzake This phase of my work encompasses a return to the origins and traditional materials of my creative practice in an attempt to examine solitude, quiet intimacy and the keeping of time. In imposing these limitations, an evolving lexicon expands and dissipates. What once constituted a dense landscape is stripped of its parts, not unlike returning to your home after many years to find it has been burned down. PROJECT SPACE | READING ROOM @93 Mathewson St. The Illuminated Chamber | Jonathan Buonaccorsi Izzard of Lunar Queer Art The Illuminated Chamber invites you to step into a realm where these celestial figures take form, inspired by the rich spiritual traditions of Celtic and Sardinian mythology. This collection merges classical elegance with modern illustration, drawing upon the ornamental beauty of Alphonse Mucha while reimagining these spiritual forces through a contemporary illustrative lens. Here, the stars align to reveal a divine assembly—a celestial gathering of guardians and seers who guide, protect, and illuminate. Step inside and explore some of the forces that weave our universe together. ABORN GALLERY @95 Empire St. Queerness in Mythology/ Folklore | Group Show RESIDENT GALLERY @131 Washington St. Toward the Unknown | Gabriel Richardson My work attempts to reconcile two questions I’ve had for a while. First, can I combine my fascination with image making with my background in traditional craft (woodworking, furniture making and resorption) to create something cohesive? Secondly, can I impart a sense of humor on abstraction? I have been most influenced by artists who have done this successfully by working in three dimensions (Ken Price, Elizabeth Murray, Ron Gorchov among others). These painted pieces allow me to create a synthesis of craft and painting. During my six years of traditional art school training, I worked primarily as a printmaker, and the discipline suited my demeanor. What fascinated me about printmaking was how object-based it was; you spend most of your time crafting an object (matrix) for printing that is not in itself the finished or presented work. Now that I have more experience, I feel much more comfortable working directly on the finished piece.

Left to Right: details of work by Stephen O’Neil IV & III, Steve Roth, Shawn Wallace, Megan Hall, Kristine Straus IN THE AS220 GALLERIES May 3-31st, 2025 opening | Saturday May 3rd, 5-7pm AS220 MAIN GALLERY @115 Empire St. Omnipresent | Kristine Straus & Megan Hall Kristine Straus explores the relationships between perspective, color and form within landscape and cityscape. These illustrated locations are imaginary, but are loosely based on local areas explored through aerial maps born from her obsession with ‘home’. Through a thorough process of observing, drafting, illustrating, carving, and assembling, Megan Hall has developed a body of work that pays homage to the places that have molded her adult life. PROJECT SPACE | READING ROOM @93 Mathewson St. Unhinged | O’Neil Family Art runs through the veins of the O’Neil family—a language passed down, reshaped, and reimagined through generations. In this exhibition, Stephen O’Neil III, Stephen O’Neil IV, and Jessica O’Neil come together as father, son, and sister, bound not only by blood but by an insatiable drive to create. Their work is a conversation—sometimes harmonious, sometimes discordantwoven from years of influence, individual growth, and a shared determination to push boundaries. ABORN GALLERY @95 Empire St. Game Theory v. Ballet | Steve Roth Steve Roth is an American painter working with acrylic and mixed media, incorporating game theory, language, and magical realism to navigate the delicate balance between agency and fate, narrating life shaped by an incurable progressive physical disability. RESIDENT GALLERY @131 Washington St. Cryptozoologic Garden | Shawn Wallace The Cryptozoologic Garden is a memorial to the members of the Mutual Aid Gang The Cryptids who resisted Big Friend during the Silent Preponderance of 2026.
