OMG 10th Founding Day Celebration
Come one, come all, to the 10th celebration to commemorate the founding of Omaha Maker Group! I’m choosing my words carefully here, because Omaha Maker Group was actually founded back in 2010. It was our tradition, from 2011 through 2019, to celebrate that momentous occasion with a party at the end of August. But just as that impressive decade mark was visible on the horizon in early 2020… Well, you know the rest. We missed 2020 and 2021, and even in August of this year we just weren’t able to make all the pieces come together. But we finally did it! On Tuesday, November 1st, 2022, you are all invited to join us in celebration of a decade of making projects and making friends (and a further two years of making do in a cluttered corner of our basement). We can no longer call it our 10th Annual Founding Day, as we would have done in the past. So join us for the 10th Mostly-Annual celebration of our first 12 years as a Maker Space. Founding Day 10.2! Weather permitting, the musical Tesla Coil will be back putting on a show. And rain or shine, there will be RC car sumo wrestling , vacuum airguns shooting Nerf darts at 200 MPH, wild contraptions, probably some fire, and shenanigans of all sorts. We will provide food, and ask that you bring a side or drinks to share. Please RSVP so we can plan food appropriately.
