If you can't bring your own material, small pieces will be made available, or larger pieces for purchase on site.Please be on time for the start of class! If you're late you will miss your slot.

Für dein Handy gibt es keine Updates mehr und du möchtest ein freies Android installieren?

Für all solche und ähnliche Fragen steht wir in unserer PC und Handy Sprechstunde bereit. Komm einfach vorbei und wir versuchen dir zu helfen.

Wie in Repair-Cafes üblich: Wir liefern den technischen Sachverstand, Rat und auch Tat. Wir helfen wo wir können – aber du musst selbst Hand anlegen und mitmachen – denn das ist der Grundgedanke der Sprechstunde.

A primer on magnetic tape, no-input mixing techniques, tape loops, and analog tape echo. How it works, how to set it up, how to play with itA primer on magnetic tape, no-input mixing techniques, tape loops, and analog tape echo. How it works, how to set it up, how to play with it. We'll build a cassette loop and jam with reel-to-reel- and cassette-based echo systems. We'll show how to extend those techniques further with additional digital loopers and feedback systems.

This is for:
* Anyone (not just musicians) who is curious about incorporating analog tape equipment into their adventures in audio
* Anyone interested in analog electronics and music technology
* Musicians looking to experiment with strange, non-linear processing and recording techniques

A few items are essential:
* something to record (an instrument, a microphone, a recording, another cassette)
* any cables and adapters you might need for any equipment you bringing

A few items are nice-to-have:
* a blank cassette or two
* a tape deck (ideally a three-head, stereo cassette deck but any will do)
* headphones (this and the mixer only if the participant is interested in setting up their own recording environment)
* a small mixer with a couple of channels and an aux send

Absolute non-essentials, but if you have them lying around:
* a tape splicing block
* splicing tape for 1/8" tape

New York native Nat Homer is an experimental electronic musician focusing on analog feedback systems and composition tools. Ambient, drone, noise, minimalism, psychedelia, and rock. 15+ years of recording and performing experience.

This is a masks optional event.

In this workshop, we’ll cover the basics of the process and walk through each step of creating a screen. Using vinyl stencils, we’ll quickly make screens and print custom designs onto t-shirts. You’ll get a chance to practice setting up, inking, and pulling prints, and by the end, you’ll have your own shirt to take home.
If you’d like, you can bring a simple vector design (think bold shapes and clean lines) to use for your screen. Otherwise, we’ll have some designs ready for you to choose from. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and a t-shirt you’d like to print on. New shirts can also be purchased during the workshop.

This workshop will be taught by two instructors:
Woody Poulard (aka GRNCH) is a Brooklyn-based artist/musician whose work focuses on generative audio-reactive visual installations and performances. He uses creative coding applications like TouchDesigner to generate real-time visuals, Blender for 3D design, and Ableton for music production. Trained in both audio and mechanical engineering, Woody also makes physical sculptures using digital fabrication techniques like 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC routing.

Mean Gene is a member at NYC Resistor, an anti-surveillance advocate, an artist, designer, printmaker, and the head of product at a small cybersecurity startup

Kulturnacht 2025

Auch dieses Jahr ist das temporärhaus Teil der Kulturnacht Ulm 2025. Zusammen mit dem Haus der Nachhaltigkeit öffnen wir von 15:00 bis 01:30 Uhr unsere Türen.

Ab 15:00 Uhr gibt es ein abwechslungsreiches Kinderprogramm des Jugend hackt Labs. Kinder und Jugendliche können in unseren Werkstätten kreativ werden vom Löten, über Postenkarten- und Pflanzendruck.

Ab 18:00 Uhr startet das Hauptprogramm. Wie immer sind auch unsere Werkstätten geöffnet – eine gute Gelegenheit, mal hinter die Kulissen zu schauen.

Dazu gibt es Musik, Improtheater sowie auch Essen und Trinken.

Für die Kulturnacht ist eine Eintrittskarte nötig, mit der man dann aber alle Ausstellungsorte in Ulm/Neu-Ulm besuchen darf. Die Karte gibt's auch bei uns im Einlass (10 Euro regulär, 8 Euro ermäßigt).

Intro to TouchDesigner

Start creating beautiful interactive, and immersive generative media by learning the underlying logic and workflows of the program.TouchDesigner is a real time generative graphics application that can be used for anything from generating graphics using dynamic noise data in real-time to audio-responsive 3D geometry. We’ll go through multiple examples of how to start creating beautiful generative content in TouchDesigner. Interactive, immersive, generative media is the reason you’re investing in learning TouchDesigner, and this class helps you get started creating it right away!
In the class we will discuss the fundamentals of the TouchDesigner. If you have never used a node-based programming environment before, this class is for you. I walk you through the basics of TouchDesigner logic and workflows, explaining exactly what nodes and wires are and how they work. This includes a walk through of the basic settings and preferences you can leverage in TouchDesigner that set you up for success and make your life easier.
We will learn about all six of the operator families used by TouchDesigner, and how they integrate with the TouchDesigner workflow. I’ll walk you through an example project for each of them.

Join us for a hands-on session where we’ll explore the art and utility of QSL cards!Join us for a hands-on session where we’ll explore the art and utility of QSL cards—the traditional way amateur radio operators confirm contacts around the world. In this workshop, you’ll learn the essential requirements for creating a valid QSL card, including layout, key information, and design standards. We’ll also discuss eQSL file formats for digital confirmations.
Participants will have the chance to design their own QSL cards, print sample copies to share, and walk away with a ready-to-use design.
In addition, we’ll dive into making CNC embroidered patches. Each attendee will have the opportunity to learn how create a personalized patch with their call sign—a perfect addition to your shack, field gear, or jacket.

This is a casual hangout where participants can bring their laptops, dive into their own projects, or collaborate with others in a supportive environment. Whether you’re experimenting with visuals, exploring interactivity, or polishing a performance setup, this is the space to work, share, and learn together.
We’ll have access to projectors, screens, and a variety of input/output devices to plug into TouchDesigner, so you can test ideas in real time and see your work come alive. After some open project time, we’ll wrap up with a show &amp; tell session where everyone can share what they’ve been working on—no matter the stage of completion. Please bring a Windows or Mac laptop that can run touchdesigner if you are new.
