The Inventory & Procurement Committee maintains MakeICT’s inventory to help members efficiently use the facility. Responsibilities include keeping inventory up to date by working with area leads, providing member guidance on the inventory system, and creating policies around equipment use and procurement. All members are welcome.

The Fundraising Committee works to secure the financial resources needed to keep MakeICT running and growing. Their efforts span fundraising strategy, donor outreach, and grant research and submission. Events Committee

The Events Committee plans, sets up, and manages events both inside and outside the MakeICT building. Recurring activities include seasonal vendor markets, Ren Faire, Air Capital Comic Con, Tulsa Maker Faire & more. We meet at least once a month so checkout the calendar and come check it out. Facilities Committee

The Facilities Committee provides leadership and oversight for the construction, revitalization, and maintenance of the MakeICT facility. Responsibilities cover a wide range of maintenance / repair work and coordination with the board for work that is outside the ability of the membership to complete safely and/or within necessary code requirements. All members are welcome to attend.

The Communications Committee spreads the word about MakeICT and keeps members and the public informed. Key responsibilities include maintaining social media presence, managing the newsletter and website, creating marketing materials (signs, flyers, brochures), organizing press releases, and keeping the wiki up to date. Security Committee

The Security Committee is responsible for managing physical access and security at the MakeICT makerspace. Their primary functions include handling member key activation, managing lost or replacement keys (available for a $5 fee), and responding to security incidents such as alarms or breaches at the space.

The Classroom Committee recruits new instructors, improves and maintains the classrooms, trains new instructors on the processes needed to create classes, maintains a selection of craft supplies and small machines and does community outreach projects.

Two-Way Radio Committee

Two-Way Radio See More on the Wiki

The Two-way Radio Committee supports members in constructing and operating two-way radio stations. This includes Amateur Radio, CB, GMRS, FRS, MURS, Meshtastic, and MeshCore. We offer classes that help people get or upgrade the necessary Federal Communications Commission licenses and learn how to use the technologies. An HF amateur radio station is available for licensed operators in the Electronics Lab.
