NIMBY’s last days in Oakland: Arts incubator makes way for pot grow

NIMBY was founded in 2004 in West Oakland and after renting the East Oakland space for the past 10 years, a marijuana company purchased the East Oakland block and have until October to leave, Snook said. He is moving his operation 300 miles north near the Oregon border where some artists will move there, too, he said.
The artist couple haven’t found an a affordable place to move, yet.

Updated! “Dust” Film by Jen Faust

In March of 2015, NIMBY was pleased to be the staging ground for the original dance video project “Dust”.
