Temporarily Closing to New Members

New Memberships are Temporarily Paused

As a volunteer-run organization, we are not only limited by space, but also by “human infrastructure” to provide services the members depend upon. At over 500 members, we have unfortunately reached the limits of our ability to add more.

While we investigate how to change our infrastructure to handle higher member counts, we are temporarily stopping accepting new members.

We apologize for the inconvenience to those who would like to join and be…

Since Omicron cases and hospitalizations have declined significantly, the board has decided to open again for drop-in tours of the shop! Stop by any Friday night, from 7-9pm, and we’ll give tours every half hour or so.

We’re also accepting new membership applications! If you’re interested in becoming a member, head on over to our Membership Page, and follow the process there.

New Memberships and Public Tours Temporarily Suspended

We hate to announce this, but with the rapid spread of the Omicron COVID variant, the Bodgery is temporarily closed to new memberships and public tours. The case data will be reviewed weekly for decisions on opening up again.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and wish it were otherwise, but in the interest of protecting the health of our members and potential visitors, we’re holding off for the next month.

We will continue to monitor the data, and we will notify here when we are open…

See you January 7th!

Holiday Hours! Given that the next two Fridays are Xmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, we won’t be offering Public Tours and New-Member Orientations these weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We hope you’ll be making great memories with your people, enjoying the festivities, lights, and great food. Our volunteers are taking a well-earned holiday break, but are looking forward to meeting you in the new year!

Stop by for a public tour on Friday, January 7th (between 7-9pm)! If you’re…

Public Tours are Back!

At long last, we are able to offer drop-in tours of the shop again – in person! Stop by any Friday night, from 7-9pm, and we’ll give tours every half hour or so.

For now, MASKS ARE REQUIRED for guests, whether vaccinated or not.

These are not yet “guest work time” as we used to hold, pre-pandemic. Sadly, no tool-use by guests just yet. We are working our way back to that, and will report here as soon as that changes. For now, it’s just a tour of the space, and sparkling conversation!

New Members Now Being Accepted!

With eased city/county restrictions, the Bodgery is accepting applications for membership again. (Starting January 15th, but ramping up slowly.)

In order to sign up, please head over to our Membership page for details and follow the steps there. Make sure to follow each step, so we can ensure that new folks know how to get what they need at the shop, and that COVID protocols are followed.

Thanks for your patience, and we look forward to seeing you around the shop! (from 6′ away,…

We are (temporarily) not accepting new members.

Due to the rapidly rising Covid-19 case numbers in Wisconsin, as of October 28th, we are putting a temporary hold on new members. No new membership applications are being accepted at this time and no new member orientations will be given. This is in effect until further notice. We will re-evaluate in two weeks and make a decision to begin accepting new members or to extend the hold at that time.

Stay tuned to this website for information on our reopening date.

We’re re-opening!

We are opening the space up again, slowly to follow City rules.

Hurray!

We’re starting with opening up to current members (and we’re SO grateful for their continued support during this difficult time. Thank you!). We’ll bring them in slowly in batches, so we’re keeping space utilization within recommended percentages.

We have new COVID policies for those using the shop. Check them out here.

Once we’ve brought back all our current membership, we’ll begin holding new member…
