Pumping Station: One

We are in discussions with our landlord hashing out the details about selling the building (to us) at the end of our lease in 18 months, so we need to get on the ball to raise the funds to make it happen! If anyone has any ideas or contacts, please message info@pumpingstationone.org and check out #buildingfunds to join the conversation around it.

6:30-8:30, hang out with some other Linux fans, talk about Linux, use Linux, listen to interesting talks, give talks, BYOB/BYOF!

Mondays nights are a great time to hang out in Electronics. Alternating between NERP (not exclusively raspberry pi) and Python Office Hours (for Python programming of any skill level), check the events calendar (www.pumpingstationone.org/events) if you aren’t sure which one is coming up this week. Feel free to bring some broken junk or interesting bits and bobs to NERP to play with or dissect, just don’t leave it at the space after.

Learn to make mead, cider, beer etc., bring beer, talk about beer, drink some beer. Chill beverage making club with some top notch humans. Open to the public but obviously 21+ only. 6:15 to 9:15pm. For online chatter, updates, scheduling, etc. check out the channel #brewingandbeerchurch.

To our members,

The Mayor of Chicago has issued a stay at home advisory for the City of Chicago. The PS1 Board of Directors urges all members to abide by the Mayor’s advisory and stay home unless you absolutely cannot. 

If you must come to PS1, it is up to you to help keep all members safe. Our COVID-19 guidelines remain in effect. A few reminders:

What? :: Members create original designs. Members vote on the winner. The winning design gets printed on things (think clothing, accessories, mugs, prints, etc), on-demand, for a reasonable fee.

Why? ::  To showcase member creativity and artistic talents; get some unique new wares that show a little PS1 pride; have some fun; potentially provide members with an opportunity to learn how to print designs on things (see below for more info).
