Things have gotten stagnant at OMG lately – the weekly open shop time is sparse, there are a lot of things that need attention in the space, and the culture that made OMG great has started to wane. Come one, come all, to the 10th celebration to commemorate the founding of Omaha Maker Group!

I’m choosing my words carefully here, because Omaha Maker Group was actually founded back in 2010. It was our tradition, from 2011 through 2019, to celebrate that momentous occasion with a party at the end of August. But just as that impressive decade mark was visible on the horizon in early 2020… Well, you know the rest. We missed 2020 and 2021, and even in August of this year we just weren’t able…

On August 11th, 2022, the CDC updated their guidelines for COVID-19 and OMG is abiding by these recommendations:

• If you have any of the symptoms of COVID-19, do not visit the studio.
• If you have knowingly been in contact with a person who has COVID-19 or any of the symptoms of COVID-19, do not visit the studio for at least 10 days after said exposure.

As a reminder, cover your coughs, sneezes, etc. with a tissue or other similar device.

As of April 8th, 2022, based on the guidance issued by the CDC, the Omaha Maker Group studio is open for regular usage with the following restrictions:

• If you have any of the symptoms of COVID-19, do not visit the studio.
