Electromagnetic Field (EMF) is a “hacker” camp which takes place every 2 years. Like previous editions, Nottingham Hackspace had a village, or dedicated camping area and we ran various events, and took various installations with us. It was all very exciting.

Websites. We love ’em. Hypertext documents sailing across the ether, criss-crossing the globe down gossamer strands of glass and copper. Websites allow us to present ourselves to the world on our own terms, no more and no less. Having your own home on the web is a wonderful thing, and should be no luxury. This early May bank holiday, a dozen members got together to craft a basic website, over half for the first time.

This coming Wednesday, on the 11th March, the radio team are dedicating their social evening to Meshtastic and Meshcore. 

After a flurry of excitement about the tech last year, many of our nodes have drifted out of date or need a bit of attention. Wednesday is the night for that.

There will be a discussion about what kind of practical projects we can use the mesh for, hopefully bringing the radio community closer together with a shared mission. Will we find a use for Mesh? Probably not…
