Project 2021- AI Physio Assistant

AI Physio Assistant is a project created by Kimberley Vanessa Cheung

This is a virtual physiotherapy assistant to help improve the posture and back pain of users. This project uses a deep learning technique that detects the position and orientation of a person while they are doing the exercises.  It leverages mediapipe and python to detect different poses from a webcam feed and render the results to the screen using OpenCV.

Four people showed up. It was great fun! Special thanks go to Nico for the link to the box generator: https://www.festi.info/boxes.py

We cut one of the boxes into plywood, then added the name of Andrew’s son and a photo of the two, processed with Gimp’s newsprint filter.

Hackjam 14th January 2020 – Air Quality

Today I installed the Air Quality sensor at the Lab. You may have noticed the widget on the right side of the page showing you the important values for Air Quality.
It is constructed around a D1-mini (ESP8266) and connected to an SDS011 and a BME280. It measures the following values:

All these values are send every 150 seconds to 2 websites where anybody can view them.

Raspberry Jam

Today during the Raspberry Jam, I had time to work on two different projects – One blinky LED and one invisible wireless.

We had a Pimoroni Unicorn Hat that needed testing, so I worked through the installing the libraries and showing off the examples (From their github repository)

The documentation has three main ways to install the library – As I like to check my software supply-chain, I initially wanted to install directly from the github source, but those instructions have some missing…
