am 24.05.2025 findet der erste, weltweite Home Assistant Community Day statt. Zu diesem Anlass lädt der CCC Darmstadt von 12 bis 16 Uhr zum Austausch von Erfahrungen, Showcases eurer eigenen Kreationen und gemütlichem Beisammensein unter Gleichgesinnten in seine Räume der Wilhelminenstraße in Darmstadt ein.

Die Registrierung erfolgt über eine von Home Assistant zur zentralen Organisation genutzten Plattform namens “Luma”: https://lu.ma/pee46vsb

Die Teilnehmerzahl ist begrenzt. Bitte registriert euer Interesse auch, wenn das Event bereits voll ist. Luma verwaltet eine Warteliste und ihr rückt bei Absagen anderer Interessenten automatisch nach. Außerdem erfahrt ihr so per E-Mail von Updates zum Community Day.

We warmly invite to our Soldering Workshop tomorrow (6.5.25) at 3 pm in Maschinenraum :) Soldering is a useful skill because it lets you easily fix or build electronic things by joining wires and parts together. The workshop is aimed at beginners. If you already have some access to a soldering iron, solder and/or a multimeter, feel free to bring it

Did you get skipped over in our recent mailing of the Member Guide booklet? In the bulk mailing process, the Post Office rejected the snail mail addresses for about 50 makers, and you’d know if you’re one of the 50 because, well, you didn’t get the booklet in the mail. And because you received an email on April 12 explaining this.

vor 20 Jahren fanden sich einige Hacker:innen zusammen, um einen Raum in Darmstadt zu gründen, an dem gemeinsam gehackt und sich ausgetauscht werden kann. Aus dieser Idee entstand der Chaos Darmstadt e.V.

Über die Jahre wurde aus der Trollhöhle die W17 und aus dem Chaos Darmstadt wurde der CCC Darmstadt. Nun sind wir mittlerweile 20 Jahre alt und das möchten wir mit Euch feiern.

Am 25.04.2025 ab 19 Uhr laden wir Euch herzlich zur CCC Darmstadt Jubiläumsparty in unseren Hackspace in der Wilhelminenstraße 17 in 64283 Darmstadt ein. Für das leibliche Wohl sowie Getränke ist gesorgt.

Are you interested in 3D printing? Whether you have yet to buy your first 3D printer or already have an entire print farm, the 3D Print & Pizza Meetup is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and share your passion. Everyone with an interest in 3D printing is welcome!

What to expect

• Show and Tell: Have you printed something cool? Feel free to bring it along to show it off or maybe ask for feedback.
• Troubleshooting: Having problems with your 3D printer? Bring it along, and maybe others can help you solve the issue. Bringing something is not mandatory, but it often starts a good conversation.
• Presentations and Workshops: Want to give a presentation or organize a workshop? The meetup offers a platform for everyone to share knowledge. Discuss with the venue in advance if you need any extra equipment.

Location
3D Print and Pizza Rotterdam is hosted at Hackerspace Pixelbar. We are at Schiemond 20, 3024 EE Rotterdam. This is inside “De Kroon”, follow the signs for K14.

If you’re coming with public transportation: you can go to Tram stop Schiemond or Metro Station Delfshaven and then walk towards the harbor.

To access the space you need to go up a set stairs, we sadly don’t have an elevator.

If you are bringing a large object we have a seperate entrance, ping one of the Pixelbar members.

Am Donnerstag, den 24. April 2025, führen wir einen Themeabend zu Mesh networking durch.

Some of you may have noticed this little dohicky on the planer in the Lenox woodshop and wondered what it is.
It is a Digital Read Out (DRO). Conceptually a DRO very similar to the digital calipers that many of us use, this one just happens to be mounted permanently to the machine. DROs have long been used the machining world as that type of work is far more precise as wood moves and metal does not. What we do have a need for is repeatability. Now, if you need to plane one more board down to the same thickness as the ones you did an hour ago, you can.
