Arcade Table – New Project for Members

Hello Fellow members,

Take-Apart Day at Dim Sum LabsThis post is just for you. We have been given by an ex-member (Marc R.), known to develop its version of a Delta 3D printer and a 3D printer kit for kids made out of 3.5″ floppy drive and DVD drive.

The Arcade table has already been hacked a couple of years ago. It is running the Windows version of Mame, on an Pentium motherboard.

JCCAC & Sham Shui Po Electronic Market

JCCAC with Dim Sum LabsLets meet some other creative types by visiting the Handicraft Fair at the HK Jockey Club’s Creative Arts Centre, followed by a visit to the nearby Electronics Markets in Sham Shui Po.

The JCCAC is a renovated 9 storey factory building in Shek Kip Mei where around 150 artists have studios.

Dim Sum Labs has been mentioned among the 5 best Hong Kong Coworking space by coworker.com.

Project: Dim Sum Robot #2

Today we regroup our research on how to flash the MicroPython onto our individual ESP32.

Most of us are using computers with Linux installed on it, so the following information is more intended toward this type of configuration rather than a computer running on Windows or IOS.

  • To flash the bin file of the MicroPython onto our CPU we will be using: esptool
